By accessing this Website and/or placing an Order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Using this Website indicates that you accept these terms regardless of whether or not you choose to register with us or order from us. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use this Website.

1. In these Conditions:
"Glasses International" means Glasses International Limited trading under the name of Glasses International with the following website address: www.glassesinternational.co.uk ("the Website").
"Your Order" means Orders placed by you using the ordering process as set out on our Website.
"Goods" means those products made available by Glasses International that you wish to purchase, as indicated in your Order.
2. INTRODUCTION
2.1 You will be able to access most areas of this Website without registering your details with us. Placing an order will require for you to register in order to enable us to fulfil your order.
2.2 We may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time by updating this posting. You should check this Website from time to time to review the then current Terms and Conditions, because they are binding on you. Certain provisions of these Terms and Conditions may be superseded by expressly designated legal notices or terms located on particular pages of this Website. If you do not wish to accept any new Terms and Conditions after we have given notice, you should not continue to use this Website.
3. CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS
3.1 By submitting your Order you warrant, represent and undertake as follows:
(a) that you are 16 years old or over and are not registered blind or partially sighted;
(b) that you are in possession of a written prescription which has been issued to you by a registered medical practitioner or a registered optometrist ("your optician") following the testing of sight less than two years ago (or less than one year ago if you are 70 years old or over); and that any recommended re-test date has not elapsed;
(c) to supply accurate and complete details regarding your current prescription including any additional notes written by your optician;
(d) that you know of no reason why the Goods ordered from us may not be suitable for your requirements;
(e) if you have worn spectacles before and experienced any problems, to provide us with details of such problems; and
(f) that you are the authorised holder of any credit/debit card you may use on this Website.
(g) you are a consumer as defined by Directive 97/7/EC on the Protection of Consumers in respect of Distance Contracts.
4. REGISTRATION
4.1 To register with www.glassesinternational.co.uk you must be over 16 years of age.
4.2 Each registration is for a single user only. We do not permit you to share your user name and password with any other person nor with multiple users on a network.
4.3 Responsibility for the security of any passwords issued rests with you and if you know or suspect that someone else knows your password, you should contact us immediately.
4.4 We may suspend or cancel your registration immediately at our reasonable discretion or if you breach any of your obligations under these Terms and Conditions.
5. ORDERING FROM US
5.1 You are deemed to place an order with us by ordering via our online checkout process.
5.2 No contract exists between you and us for the sale of any goods until we have received and accepted your order.
5.3 After placing an order, you will receive confirmation from us by e-mail to the e-mail address that you have provided acknowledging that we have received and accepted your order (Confirmation).
5.4 Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy Goods. Once we have sent the Confirmation there is a binding legal contract between you and us (Contract).
5.5 Receipt of payment does not mean that we have accepted your order and we reserve the right to return your payment to you if your order is not accepted.
5.6 Before an order is accepted, if considered appropriate, we shall have absolute discretion to:
(a) contact you to discuss your Order;
(b) request that you send us the original written prescription (or a copy thereof);
(c) request that you contact the registered medical practitioner or registered optometrist who provided your prescription to verify and/or discuss your prescription; or
(d) request that you obtain your pupillary distance measurement from your optician.
5.7 We will use an average pupillary distance of 63 mm unless:
(a) you specify your pupillary distance measurement in your order; and/or
(b) the supervising manufacturing optician considers at his/hers absolute discretion that it is necessary for you to obtain an exact pupillary distance measurement.
6. LIMITATIONS OF SUPPLY
6.1 The Goods are subject to availability. If on receipt of your order the Goods you have ordered are not in stock or we cannot deliver the Goods within 28 days of the Confirmation being sent to you, we will inform you as soon as possible and refund or re-credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods within 30 days of your order.
6.2 We reserve the right to provide you with Goods of an equal or higher specification than the Goods ordered at the same price as the Goods ordered.
7. PRICING AND PAYMENT
7.1 The price of any Goods will be as quoted on our site from time to time except in cases of obvious error. All prices are correct at the time of entering information. You will be charged for your purchase in Pounds Sterling. Please note that currencies displayed on the website other than GBP sterling (£) are shown as a guideline only and the exact price may vary slightly depending on each day's exchange rate.
7.2 Prices are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders in respect of which we have already sent you a Confirmation. You will be notified of any change in the prices of products that take place between the time you place your order and the time we send Confirmation of your order.
7.3 Our site contains a large number of products and it is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the products listed on our site may be incorrectly priced when you place your order. If a product is found to be incorrectly priced, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling your order. If you choose to cancel your order we will refund or recredit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the Goods.
7.4 We are under no obligation to provide the Goods to you at an incorrect (lower) price, even after we have sent you a Dispatch Confirmation, if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a mis-pricing.
7.5 Where we charge separately for packaging and delivery, the appropriate rates are set out in our specified pricing structure explained in Clause 8.1.
7.6 Your order cannot be accepted until we have received payment for the complete order.
7.7 We accept only the following forms of payment for online purchases:
- Maestro / Switch
- Visa / Visa Debit / Visa Electron
- Mastercard
- Solo
We also accept payments from PayPal account holders.
7.7.1 We do not accept cheques (cashier or personal) or money orders as valid forms of payment.
7.7.2 Orders will be processed once we have received payment authorisation.
8. POSTAGE AND PACKAGING
8.1 We have set out postage and packaging charges for spectacles which apply to any location in the world. These are given below in Sterling. For overseas customers, the charge will be the equivalent in whichever currency you choose on our Website:
£3.50 for 1 pair
£4.50 for 2 pairs
£5.50 for 3 pairs+
Postage and packaging on all glasses chains is free.
8.2 Your glasses will be sent to you 1st Class via standard Royal Mail packet post or AirMail if outside the UK. The glasses' packages fit through most letterboxes, so you should not have to be in to receive them when they arrive.
8.3 Our terms state that delivery can be up to 28 days. However, our aim is do deliver within 10 days, subject to the complexity of the prescription and coatings.
8.4 We will deliver the Goods to the address you specify for delivery in your Order. It is important that this address is accurate. Please be precise about where you would like the Goods left if you are out when we deliver by writing an email to us at info@glassesinternational.com. We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the Goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions (unless this is caused by our negligence).
We will aim to deliver the Goods by the date quoted for delivery but delivery times are not guaranteed. If delivery is delayed due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, the delivery date will be extended by a reasonable period.
8.5 Upon delivery of the Goods you must carefully inspect them. If any of the Goods do not match the description or appear to be damaged or are missing, do not use the Goods and please contact us immediately by telephone or email to inform us of the problem. We will then advise you as to how to proceed.
9. TRANSFER OF RISK AND OWNERSHIP
9.1 The Goods will be at your risk from the time of delivery.
9.2 Ownership of the Goods will only pass to you when we receive full payment of all sums due in respect of the Goods, including delivery charges.
9.3 In the event of cancellation, risk remains with you until the Goods are received by Glasses International.
9.4 Goods supplied are not for resale.
10. CANCELLATION / RETURNS POLICY / MONEY BACK GUARANTEE
Our wish is to ensure your complete satisfaction. The name of Glasses International stands for outstanding service, excellent quality and value for money, which are qualities seen in everything we do. We trust you will be entirely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not, please do not hesitate to contact us.
10.1 You may cancel a Contract at any time before the Goods are delivered.
10.2 You may cancel a Contract at any time within twenty one days, beginning from the date we dispatch your goods for delivery, as stated on your invoice. In this case, you will receive a full refund of the purchase price paid for the Goods in accordance with clauses 10.4 and 10.5 below.
10.3 To cancel a Contract, you must inform us by email or telephone. You must inform us of your details and details of the Goods ordered and, if appropriate, delivery. You must also return the Goods to us immediately, in the same unused condition in which you received them and with all original packaging and the original invoice, at your own cost and risk. You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the Goods while they are in your possession. If you fail to comply with this obligation, we may have a right of action against you for compensation.
10.4 If you cancel the Contract between us within the twenty one day cooling-off period (see clause 10.2), we will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of the day you have given notice of your cancellation, and in this case, we will refund the purchase price of the Goods in full but you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.
10.5 We will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.
10.6 If you discover a manufacturing defect within 12 months of delivery, you must notify us immediately. We will refund you the cost of returning the Goods to us.
10.6.1 In accordance with our 12 month guarantee against any defects or breakages on all frames and lenses we will at our absolute discretion repair or replace such Goods or give a refund. Please note that original invoice must also be returned to us with the Goods.
10.6.2 Glasses International shall not repair or replace any Goods or give a refund if:
(a) it has not received the defective Goods back from you; or
(b) the defect is caused by mistreatment or misuse of the Goods.
10.6.3 After 12 months our technicians will be happy to make any necessary repairs for a small charge.
11. ACCURACY OF CONTENT
11.1 We have taken care in the preparation of the content of this Website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at the time of publishing. However, orders will only be accepted if there are no material errors in the description of the Goods or their prices as advertised on this Website.
11.2 Please note that any dimensions given about the Goods are approximate only and photographs may not match exactly the product with respect to the colour.
11.3 The material on this Website is provided "as is" without any conditions, warranties or other terms of any kind. Accordingly, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we provide you with this Website on the basis that we exclude all representations, warranties, conditions and other terms (including, without limitation, the conditions implied by law of satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and the use of reasonable care and skill) which but for these Terms and Conditions might have effect in relation to this Website.
11.4 We may make changes to the material on this Website, or to the products and prices described in it, at any time without notice.
12. SERVICE ACCESS
12.1 While we endeavour to ensure that this Website is normally available 24 hours a day, we will not be liable if for any reason this Website is unavailable at any time or for any period.
12.2 Access to this Website may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond our control.
13. OWNERSHIP OF RIGHTS
13.1 All rights, including copyright, in this Website are owned by or licensed to Glasses International Limited. Any use of this Website or its contents, including copying or storing it or them in whole or part, other than for your own personal, non commercial use, is prohibited without our permission. You may not modify, distribute or repost anything on this Website for any purpose.

14.1 Links to third party websites on this Website are provided solely for your convenience. If you use these links, you leave this Website. We have not reviewed all of these third party websites and do not control and are not responsible for these websites or their content or availability. We therefore do not endorse or make any representations about them, or any material found there, or any results that may be obtained from using them. If you decide to access any of the third party websites linked to this Website, you do so entirely at your own risk.
14.2 If you would like to link to this Website, you may only do so on the basis that you link to, but do not replicate, the home page of this Website, and subject to the following conditions:
(a) you do not remove, distort or otherwise alter the size or appearance of the Glasses International Ltd logo;

(c) you do not in any way imply that we are endorsing any products or services other than our own;

14.3 We expressly reserve the right to revoke the right granted in this Clause 14.2 for breach of these terms and to take any action we deem appropriate.
14.4 You shall fully indemnify us for any loss or damage we or any of our group companies may suffer or incur as a result of your breach of Clause 14.2.
15. LIABILITY
15.1 If you do not receive Goods ordered by you within 28 days of the date on which you ordered them, we will have no liability to you unless you notify us by email or telephone of the problem within 30 days of the date on which you ordered the Goods (unless this is not reasonably practicable). If you notify a problem to us under this condition, our only obligation will be, at your option:
(a) to make good any shortage or non-delivery; or
(b) to refund to you the amount paid by you for the Goods in question in whatever way we choose.
15.2 You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation, including obtaining all necessary customs, import or other permits to purchase Goods from this Website. The importation or exportation of certain of our Goods to you may be prohibited by certain national laws. We make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the export or import of the Goods you purchase.
15.3 We try to ensure that this Website is free from viruses or defects. However, we cannot guarantee that your use of this Website or any websites accessible through it will not cause damage to your computer. It is your responsibility to ensure that the right equipment is available to use the Website. Except in the case of negligence on our part, we will not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise to computer equipment, software data or other property as a result of using this Website.
15.4 If your use of material on this Website results in the need for servicing, repair or correction of equipment, software or data, you assume all costs thereof.
15.5 You undertake to us that you will immediately indemnify us against all proceedings, costs, fees, expenses, payments, liabilities, losses and damages arising out of the breach or negligent performance by you of any terms of these Terms and Conditions.
15.7 Nothing in this Agreement shall exclude or limit either party's liability for fraud or death and/or personal injury resulting from that party's negligence.
15.8 We shall not be liable to you for loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of actual or anticipated savings, loss of business, or depletion of goodwill in each case whether direct, indirect or consequential, or any claims for consequential compensation whatsoever (howsoever caused) which arise out of or in connection with any Contract.
15.9 We accept no liability in respect of any non-standard use of the Goods such as, by way of example only, wearing spectacles while practising extreme sports.
16. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
16.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Disputes arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
16.2 It is prohibited to access the Website from territories where its contents are illegal or unlawful. If you access this Website from locations outside the United Kingdom, you do so at your own risk and you are responsible for compliance with local laws.
17. FORCE MAJEURE
17.1 We shall be entitled to suspend or withhold deliveries of Goods in the event of any delay or stoppage howsoever caused including any strike, mechanical breakdown, act of God, any hostile action or any other cause beyond the Company's control and the Company shall not be liable for any loss, expense or damages whatsoever suffered by the buyer as a consequence of any such delay.
18. THIRD PARTY RIGHTS
18.1 A person who is not a party to a Contract has no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any terms of a Contract.
19. OTHER PROVISIONS
19.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions which shall continue to have full force and effect.
19.2 By accepting these Terms and Conditions you also agree to be bound by the terms of our Privacy and Cookie Policy.
